ABSTRACT:
A scroll-type compressor has a scroll plate that is prevented from moving radially or rotating but may be axially displaced. The configuration includes a key and key way configuration and springs to axially bias one scroll plate away from the other scroll plate. The major components of the compressor assembly can be axially assembled.
