To offer the seal configuration which prevents the leakage of high pressure compressed fluid from the succeeding stage compression section to the preceding stage compression section of a multistage compression type fluid machine, a seal element25is located on the rand9abetween the discharge port2elocated at the end of the spiral lap groove of the preceding stage compression section and the suction port2flocated at the start of the spiral lap groove of the succeeding stage compression section to suck in the compressed fluid discharged from said discharge port and cooled through passing a cooler.
