A screwing device has means for measuring the tightening strain in a bolt and is of the type in which a support arm housing transmission members supports a screwing head by means of a transmission shaft connected to the transmission members, the screwing head being movable relative to the support arm and housing means, which are fixed relative to the arm, for supporting the measuring means.
