ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a method for souring, using an scouring agent composition which has low-viscosity although being highly concentrated, which has excellent scouring property under highly alkaline conditions, and which has excellent biodegradability. That is, the present invention provides a method for scouring fiber, which comprises the step of treating the fiber with a scouring agent comprising (A) a nonionic surfactant having the formula (I):
