ABSTRACT:
A safety indwelling needle including an inner needle unit1having an inner needle8, an inner needle hub14and a housing member13disposed at a distal side of the inner needle hub14, and an outer needle unit2having an outer needle4, an outer needle hub5and an outer needle cap9, characterized in that the housing member13includes openings for allowing penetration of the inner needle8at a distal end and a proximal end thereof, an internal space for storing only a distal end portion of the inner needle8including a needlepoint3thereof when the inner needle8is drawn out from the outer needle4, and a shielding member which automatically closes the opening at the proximal end of the housing member13by a magnetic force.
