ABSTRACT:
A lubricating oil additive with rust and haze inhibiting properties which comprises the reaction product of a long chain alkyl substituted maleimide represented by the figure ##STR1## where R is C.sub.3 -C.sub.30 alkyl radical comprising and 5-amino-triazole is provided. A lubricating oil composition containing the additive is also provided.
