ABSTRACT:
Apparatus10for a skateboard deck14connected to a skateboard carriage22by means of a rotative mechanism24positioned between the deck and carriage. The carriage22is comprised of a platform having the trucks and wheels18mounted thereunder with fasteners fixedly positioning a bearing insert34and carriage retaining ring32to the top side of the platform. The deck14has a friction ring30fixed to the underside with fasteners28passing through the deck and friction ring into the carriage retaining ring thereby enabling the deck to rotate relative to the carriage22. Additionally fastened to the underside of the deck14are pivot brakes or segments16positioned on opposing ends of the deck14and within the perimeter of the carriage platform. Once the carriage platform22and deck14are relatively aligned, a user12shifts their weight causing the segments16to engage the carriage ending or preventing any further rotation of the deck relative to the carriage.
