ABSTRACT:
A rotary spindle4for a power tool such as a hammer drill is disclosed. The spindle4comprises a first spindle part402for rotation about its longitudinal an axis by means of a motor and having an inwardly directed rim406, and a second spindle part404for supporting a drill bit of the hammer drill and having an outwardly directed rim410. The second spindle part404extends through an aperture408in the first spindle part402and rims406, 410cooperate with each other to prevent removal of the second spindle part404from the first spindle part402. A circlip414locks the first and second spindle parts402, 404together and maintains o-rings412under compression.
