ABSTRACT:
A rotary internal combustion engine which comprises a casing, a main shaft journalled in said casing, a rotor mounted on said main shaft for rotation therewith and having in its periphery alternate twisted and sloped recesses and walls, shafts mounted in said casing and extending normal to said main shaft and rotary partition discs mounted on said second-mentioned shafts on the opposite sides of said rotor and having twisted and sloped peripheral faces for sealing contact with said twisted and sloped recesses and twisted walls of the rotor in turn, said recesses and walls and discs cooperating with each other in defining compression chambers in which gaseous fuel is compressed, ignited and exploded.
