ABSTRACT:
A grounding clip for connecting an electrical grounding lead to the grounding stud of a compressor. The device includes an electrically conductive body having an aperture and a plurality of resilient ears adjacent the aperture for resiliently, frictionally engaging the stud when the stud is disposed in the aperture. The resilient ears permit axial movement of the stud through the aperture in one direction only and prevent axial movement of the stud through the aperture in the other axial direction. The device also includes an opening in which a threaded fastener is received to connect an electrical grounding lead thereby electrically connecting the grounding lead to the grounding stud and compressor housing.
