ABSTRACT:
Roller skates each comprised of a base with rollers secured therein and a foot support pivotally secured thereto to pivot around the axle of the front roller, a foot propulsion drive having a spring-loaded flexible cable connected by one end thereof via an overrunning clutch to one of the rollers and by another end thereof to the foot support to rotate the roller, and a hand propulsion drive including an overrunning clutch, a spring-loaded flexible cable connected by one end thereof through the overrunning clutch to one of the rollers and a support lever secured to the base to pivot around an axis which is parallel with the axes of rotation of the rollers and having a slidable member nested therein to reciprocate inside the support lever, the slidable member being connected with another end of the flexible cable of the hand propulsion drive.
