ABSTRACT:
In an initial state of roller hemming processing, an erected flange65begins to be bent by a roller48. At this time, a first plate63and a receiving face15are brought into tightly contact with each other at a contact point70between the roller48and the erected flange65by strongly pinching by the roller48and an auxiliary roller51. On the other hand, in portions other than the contact point70, the receiving face15tends to be separated from the first plate63by reaction. Since slider blocks22and22are movable along rails21and21on a side of the receiving die10, the receiving die10rotates clockwise in the drawing about the contact point70. A tight contact in the contact point70is guaranteed as the receiving die10rotates about the contact point70. As a result, the hemming processing with a good shape can be achieved without wrinkling, ruffling, or deformation.
