ABSTRACT:
A rocket detent and release mechanism which restrains a rocket in a launch ube during transportation of the launch tube and rocket mounted on a transporting vehicle; the detent and release mechanism is of such structure as to be released on ignition of a rocket motor of the rocket to allow the rocket to be launched, and the detent and release mechanism is fabricated and mounted such that no tools are required for engaging the detent and release mechanism when mounting the rocket in the launch tube.
