ABSTRACT:
An applicator for the therapeutic treatment of a patient with electromagnetic energy is provided by a ridge waveguide filled with deionized water and having a sheet of flexible radio frequency transparent material covering the radiating open end. The waveguide with the ridge and filled with water is dimensioned to propagate radio frequency signals in the TE.sub.10 mode.
