ABSTRACT:
A winding core1of small diameter is mounted at each end on a locking core chuck3coupled to a shaft14supported by spaced bearings4and8located within a housing part5at the free end6of a rewind arm structure. The central part of the shaft14has a pulley portion12over which a drive belt13runs. A larger core2is mounted at each end on a heavier duty locking core chuck7carried by larger bearings 8 which are located also within the housing5. The housing5is cut away or stepped at9whereby a contact pressure roller10having a width greater than that of the core1may be accommodated and brought into contact with the core1at least at the minimum diameter thereof.
