ABSTRACT:
A reverse-separating device for a slide fastener, comprises a retainer pin5, a separable pin6both made of metal and a reverse-separating slider3. Each of the retainer pin5and the separable pin6is of a U-shaped cross-section and has a slit18formed along its front edge. At the lower end of the slit18, the retainer pin5projects rearward beyond the slit18to thus provide a loop-like stopper22for engagement with the flange31of the reverse-separating slider3. Once the retainer pin5is inserted into the reverse-separating slider3, the retainer pin5is firmly retained by three parts of the reverse-separating slider3. The separable pin6has a projecting ledge28formed on the upper end the projecting fin27so as to project laterally therefrom. The projecting ledge28of the separable pin6is adapted to abut against the upper end of the projecting fin25of the retainer pin5and thus prevent the separable pin6from moving further into the reverse-separating slider3.
