ABSTRACT:
An electrophotographic apparatus comprising a photosensitive member, charging means for providing a surface potential to the surface of the photosensitive member, image exposure means for exposing the photosensitive member to form an electrostatic latent image which comprises an unexposed dark part and a exposed light part, developing means including a developer-carrying member for providing a toner to the light part thereby to develop the latent image with the toner and bias application means for applying a bias voltage between the developer-carrying member and the photosensitive member surface to control a developing condition; the apparatus further comprising image regulation means for changing the surface potential in the dark part (Vd) in association with the change in DC component (V.sub.DC) of the bias voltage.
