A variety of retinoid compounds well suited for preventively or curatively treating a bacterial colonization infesting/infecting an individual subject exhibit pronounced antibacterial activity, notably pronounced antibacterial activity in respect of the bacteriumStaphylococcus aureus, and are also well suited for the cleansing/deodorizing of human skin.
