ABSTRACT:
Retinoic esters of L-cladinose have the formula ##STR1## wherein the ##STR2## radical is (all trans) retinoyl, (13 cis) retinoyl or etretinoyl, and R.sub.2 represents linear or branched alkyl having 1-24 carbon atoms; and the .alpha. and .beta. anomers and their mixtures.
These esters are usefully employed in human and veterinary medicines and in cosmetic compositions.
