ABSTRACT:
Providing a flower pot, which is rested upon the ground and which may be subjected to lateral forces which could tip the pot, with a retainer in the form of an elongated, vertically arranged, wire rod having an upper portion bent into a downwardly opening hairpin-like hook shape for grasping the upper edge portion of the wall of the pot and a lower stem portion of sufficient length to extend downwardly along the side of the pot and into the ground adjacent the pot. The retainer may be manually inserted into the ground, next to the pot wall, with its upper bent end receiving and gripping the upper edge of the pot wall for holding the pot against tipping.
