ABSTRACT:
A novel Type II restriction endonuclease isolated from Frankia species DDB13250120 is provided. The enzyme, designated FseI, recognizes the octanucleotide sequence ##STR1## and cleaves Adenovirus 2 DNA at the sites indicated by the arrows.
