ABSTRACT:
A polymer such as polyester is modified with reaction with a modifier of a compound having the formula: ##STR1## in which X is halogen, Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 are a three- to eight-membered ring, Z is a divalent organic group and n is 1 or more.
