ABSTRACT:
A resin composition for use as a paint contains a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing a monomer (I) represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein either one of X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 stands for an acryloyloxy or methacryloyloxy group, the other being a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R.sub.1 to R.sub.10 each stand for a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1 to 4; with an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a reactive functional group and an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated monomer having no reactive functional group. A monomer mixture for preparing the copolymer contains 5 to 95 wt % of the monomer (I).
