ABSTRACT:
A thermal head for use in a printer or a facsimile machine and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. The thermal head having a heat regenerative layer, heating elements and electrodes respectively formed on the substrate thereof and in which they are covered with a protection layer is manufactured by forming a coating made of a thermosetting resin on the protection layer. Thus, pin holes formed in the protection layer due to the roughness of the surface of the substrate can be sealed up so that the reliability of the thermal head is improved.
