ABSTRACT:
A reservoir10is provided for mounting to a bottom of a fuel tank of a vehicle. The reservoir includes wall structure13coupled with a bottom to define an interior space17. The bottom has an internal surface27within the interior space, an external surface15, and an opening12in the bottom. A check valve11is associated with the opening. Valve protection structure16extends from the external surface and is provided continuously about the entire perimeter of the bottom to define a plurality of tortuous paths P for fuel flow from the tank to the opening. Feet structure26extend from the external surface to contact the bottom of the tank. A plurality of pockets30are provided in the internal surface27of the bottom for collecting foreign particles that may enter the reservoir.
