ABSTRACT:
A reservoir and faucet assembly for a water cooler includes at least one faucet fitting for removable mounting of a faucet, wherein the faucet fitting has a check valve mounted therein to prevent water spillage when the faucet is removed. The check valve is adapted to be opened when the faucet is installed within the faucet fitting and to close when the faucet is removed from the reservoir. With this design, the faucet can be disassembled from the reservoir, without first requiring drainage of water from the reservoir.
