ABSTRACT:
A composition is which, when added to an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer having 40 to 60 weight percent of vinyl acetate units, renders a repulpable hot melt adhesive comprises a tackifier and an oxygen-containing polymer. The oxygen-containing polymer may be either (i) a high molecular weight carboxylic acid; (ii) a ethylenically unsaturated cyclic anhydride graft polyolefin or (iii) a primary linear polymeric alcohol of the formula
