ABSTRACT:
A reproducing system has a pickup for reading data on an optical disc, a memory, a memory controller for storing data read out by the pickup in the memory, and a reproducing device for reproducing data stored in the memory. High speed scanning is instructed. In response to the instruction, the memory controller operates to reproduce data already stored in the memory at skipped positions.
