ABSTRACT:
A linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon having enhanced purity is produced by contacting the polymer, subsequent to polymerization but prior to recovery from the polymerization mixture, with a bisphosphinopropane of specified structure at a temperature at least 20.degree. C. above the polymerization temperature.
