A system and method for actuating a device from a remote location includes a signal generator for establishing a signal indicative of a desire to actuate the device, detector means for sensing the signal indicative of a desire to actuate the device and for actuating a switch means for actuating the device. A feedback signal is provided indicative of actuation of the device.
