ABSTRACT:
A retaining clip composed of a resilient clasping spring and a lock member wherein the clasping spring operates to releasably engage the engagement portion of a panel member, such as a wall or ceiling plate, the engagement portion operating to resiliently displace the clasping spring when the panel member is brought into supported engagement therewith and to further resiliently displace the clasping spring so that it may be brought into engagement with the lock member to hold the clasping spring in a disengaged position to allow the panel member to be released, the clasping spring being adapted to be brought back to its original position when a panel member is to be again brought into supported engagement therewith.
