ABSTRACT:
A used ruthenium hydrogenation catalyst is regenerated by contact with carbon tetrachloride at a temperature in the approximate range of from about 0.degree. to about 200.degree. C. The carbon tetrachloride can be in liquid, gaseous or partly gaseous state.
