The redundant valve system10of the preferred embodiment includes a first valve unit12and a second valve unit14. The redundant valve system10is preferably used to connect a source16to a destination18and to connect the destination18to a reservoir20. The first valve unit12and the second valve unit14are coupled to control fluid flow such that fluid flow is allowed in only one of two given directions at any given time, either from the source16to the destination18or from the destination18to the reservoir20.
