ABSTRACT:
A reducing cosmetic composition containing an association of a reducing agent and a cationic polymer is described. The reducing agent is cysteamine or one of its salts and/or N-acetylcysteamine, and the cationic polymer is a copolymer of from 45 to 99.5 mole-% of N-vinylpyrrolidone and from 0.5 to 55 moIe-% of nonquaternized dialkyl (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4) aminoalkyl (C.sub.1 -C.sub.18) acrylate or methacrylate. The composition can be used in a process for permanent deformation of the hair in the cold state.
