ABSTRACT:
A color photographic material for, in particular, a color diffusion transfer process having at least one silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a dye releasing redox compound shown by the formula ##STR1## wherein G represents a hydroxyl group or a group yielding a hydroxyl group by hydrolysis, Col represents a dye or a group yielding a dye by hydrolysis, R represents an alkyl group or an aromatic group, X represents a substituent comprising an electron donating group or substituents, which may be same or different, at least one of which comprises an electron donating group, and n is 1, 2, or 3, where X moieties may form a condensed ring (excluding an aromatic hydrocarbon ring) with each other or with OR, wherein the total carbon number of Xn and R is more than 8.
