ABSTRACT:
Metal values, such as copper, lead and zinc, are recovered from complex sulfides, e.g., ores or smelter flue dusts, by means of aqueous leaching in the presence of oxygen and CaCl.sub.2 or BaCl.sub.2 at elevated temperature.
