ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a recording-reproduction apparatus and a program adapted for use in recording data on and/or reproducing the same from an optical disk having two recording layers on one side thereof. In such a dual-layer optical disk, one recording film L0layer is unformatted, while another recording film L1layer is formatted. The recording film L0layer is formatted by marks at step S1, and marks corresponding to data to be recorded are formed first in the recording film L0layer at step S2. When the recording film L0layer has been completely used, marks corresponding to data to be recorded are formed in the recording film L1layer at step S3. The invention is applicable to a DVD player for example.
