ABSTRACT:
Provided are a disc guide mechanism41that is disposed on one end side of a slot10A in a drive unit body10and guides an optical disc1; and a disc diameter detecting mechanism42that is disposed on the other side of the slot10A in the drive unit body10and retracts the disc guide mechanism41when the optical disc1inserted in the slot10A is large and advances the optical disc1when the optical disc1is small. The disc guide mechanism41and the disc diameter detecting mechanism42which are respectively disposed on sides of the slot10A can center the optical disc1in accordance with a diameter of the optical disc1.
