ABSTRACT:
A record bearing assembly for encapsulating a planar record member. Included is a thin substantially flat base member comprising an aperture therethrough. A plastic capsule comprises as an integral part thereof the following: a thin substantially planar closed cavity is provided for a planar record member positioned within the perimeter of the aperture; first and second sides of the plastic capsule sandwich the base member therebetween around at least a portion of the capsule cavity; and a plurality of pegs are integral with and extend between the first and second sides stitching through the base member at a plurality of locations around at least a portion of the perimeter of the capsule cavity.
Also disclosed is a subcombination of a capsule part for use in forming the plastic capsule and a method for forming a record bearing assembly.
