The present invention provides isolated bovineNeosporacultures. Also provided are recombinant immunodominantNeosporaantigens. The cultures and antigens are used to develop diagnostic assays for the detection ofNeosporainfections in cattle and other animals. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment and prevention ofNeosporainfections.
