ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides genetically engineeredBacillusstrains that can secrete large amount ofBacillusproteases in the extracellular culture medium. More particularly, this invention relates to a process of producing recombinant protease molecules ofBacillusorigin in aBacillus subtilisstrain 168, utilizing a strong prophage promoter.
