ABSTRACT:
A reclosable lid10for a container holding a flowable substance has a first piece or cover12, and a movable second piece or disk50. The cover10has a top wall14, a side wall16and a mounting portion22for connecting the lid10on the container. The cover12has an opening28adapted to permit the flow of the substance through the lid10. The cover12further includes a slot30located in the top wall14. The disk50has at least one aperture78, a post54, and a projection52. The aperture78and the projection52are each cooperatively dimensioned with the opening28. The post54is adapted to be received by the slot30in the cover12. The disk50is movable between a first position wherein at least a portion of the projection52is received in the opening28in the first position, and a second position wherein the aperture78is aligned with the opening28in the second position. A support ledge102and a support edge104on an inner surface100of the cover12are adapted to provide rotatable support to the disk50.
