ABSTRACT:
Battery pack10may include rechargeable battery12and remaining capacity indicating circuit14for indicating the remaining capacity of the battery12. Remaining capacity indicating circuit14may be coupled to the battery12via first switch SW1. When first switch SW1is turned ON, a current flows from battery12to remaining capacity indicating circuit14. When the first switch SW1is turned OFF, the current flowing from battery12to remaining capacity indicating circuit14is turned OFF. The first switch SW1may be coupled to first voltage detecting circuit (R2, R3) for detecting the voltage of battery12. When the voltage that is being detected of battery12falls below a first predetermined value, first switch SW1is turned off. Battery pack10may further include cut-off circuit (SW2, R4, R5) that cuts off the flow of current from battery12to first voltage detecting circuit (R2, R3) when first switch SW1has been turned OFF.
