ABSTRACT:
A receiver for receiving multiplexed text broadcasts includes a receiving circuit for receiving multiplexed text broadcasts that provide information including at least one program with at least one page formed with multiplexed data comprising a plurality of blocks each provided with a block identity code followed by a data packet, a memory for storing the multiplexed data received by the receiving circuit, a display device for displaying the information, a plurality of receive counters for receiving the block identity code and counting the block identity code for a predetermined number thereof for managing the display timing of the page of the program for being determined when the program is defined to display the page after a decided period of time from the reception of the multiplexed data, and a circuit for allotting the receiving counters by allotting the idle one of a plurality of the receiving counters for counting each of the block identity codes of the multiplexed data overlappingly received within the decided period of time for deciding the display timing of each of the pages.
