ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a receiver capable of simplifying hardware required for finger and combiner in accordance with the channel characteristics in a 3rdgeneration mobile communication system using physical channels recommended by the 3GPP (3rdgeneration partnership project). The rake receiver for the mobile communication system complying with the 3GPP standard includes fingers for performing in parallel a radio signaling of downlink physical channels recommended in the 3GPP standard and inputted through multiple paths in a first-in first-out (FIFO) manner, combiners for summing a certain channel of different time offsets outputted from the fingers with an identical timing, and a selector for controlling the different physical channels outputted from the fingers to be summed by the different combiners, respectively.
