Provided herein is a rear projection screen capable of displaying a sharper image by reducing deterioration in the image quality, such as coarsening, flickering and glaring. A rear projection screen10comprises a Fresnel lens sheet11having, on its light-entering-side surface, a Fresnel lens part11ain the shape of a Fresnel lens. In the Fresnel lens sheet11, both the Fresnel lens part11aand a part (diffusing part11b) situated on the light-emerging side of the Fresnel lens part11acomprise light-diffusing particles P. The mean particle diameter of the light-diffusing particles P contained in the diffusing part11bis not more than⅕of the lens pitch of the Fresnel lens part11a.
