Method of determining polymerase activity by incubating the polymerase with a template nucleic acid, one detectable mononucleoside triphosphate and one immobilizable nucleoside triphosphate, binding the immobilizable nucleotides to a solid phase and detecting the bound delectable nucleotides and tests based thereon.
