ABSTRACT:
A product mixture of a norbornene and a tetracyclododecene is prepared in any desired mole ratio in the range of 95/5 to 5/95 which comprises heating an olefin, cyclopentadiene, and a norbornene in the respective mole ratio of 1-20/1-5/1-5, at a temperature of 100.degree. to 400.degree. C., 100 to 5000 psi, and 0.1 to 5 hours of residence time.
