ABSTRACT:
Provided is a novel composition which is the reaction product of chlorine dioxide and a polymer, and in particular, polymeric N-vinyl-.alpha.-pyrrolidone. The resulting product is an organically stabilized ClO.sub.2 composition which is a powerful microbiocide.
