Process for the preparation of halogenated carboxylic acid fluorides, in which a carboxylic acid fluoride is reacted with hexafluoropropene oxide in the presence of a catalyst system composed of an alkali metal fluoride, a carboxylic acid dinitrile and at least one ether of the formula
